Tell us about yourself and your family.
I have a wonderful husband named Chris. We met in Hawaii and I thought I would never leave that magical place. We have two kids. Bradley is almost 3 and Lilinoe is 19 months.
What surprised you the most once you became a mom?
What surprised me the most was the pace. My whole career I was multi tasking 100 million things then you have a baby and think it will be the same pace but it actually becomes almost slow motion compared to the life you had before. You were in charge of 100 things now you are only responsible for one thing. It was an adjustment.
Why did you join FIT4MOM? Why do you love it?
For community. Being a mom can be lonely and I knew that the more exercise I got the better I would feel. A win on to fronts!
What advice would you give a first time mama to FIT4MOM Kitsap?
Get out of the house every day. Even if it’s raining!
Where do you see yourself in 5 years? If you didn't have any obstacles, what dream would you pursue?
I really enjoyed being a community pharmacist. I would love to change the paradigm someday and try to help people get off medication. Be more of a wellness educator and help patients with complicated medical conditions improve outcomes by narrowing their medication lists.
What is your favorite go to piece of baby/kid gear
My double stroller. Phil and teds! It has a narrow profile and somehow can hold two kids and I can still turn it with one hand and not take up the whole sidewalk. I just hope Lilinoe doesn’t get a complex because no one ever realizes she’s there.
Any advice for new moms? What about advice for veteran moms?
No advice here. Every time I think I’ve figured it out something changes and I have to figure that out. It is always changing so just enjoy the moment.
